An Teaghlach Uilinn Fundraiser for Cope Galway

An Teaghlach Uilinn fundraising committee recently organised a day of entertainment for our residents which coincided with the draw for the Hamper in which the proceeds were donated to Cope Galway.

Cope Galway provide social services to those in need in Galway City and County.

A total of €550 was raised through the raffle, cake sale and donations on the day and this amount was then matched by the Nursing Home, a total of €1100 was then donated to Cope.

The local Men’s Shed came along and demonstrated making a bird box and gave a presentation about a bat box, they also brought in a High Nelly bike that they had restored which garnered a lot of interest from our Residents. The Kids from the McMahon School of Dancing provided the entertainment for the afternoon. Fun was had by all involved.

Maise Cunningham was the lucky winner of the hamper – enjoy Maise!!!

An Teaghlach Uilinn would to thank all that organised, supported and provided the entertainment on the day.
